NBA Rundown: Monday 03/02

What to expect
We will provide a basic rundown of the slate each day rather it’s in article, podcast or video form. The rundown will include games and spreads that day with correlated matchups, We will have a write up for specific players that we see advantages or disadvantages to having in your lineup, and we will then finish the rundown by giving you the top options at each position. The goal here is to not just give the best plays to win money but to teach you how to construct winning lineups on your own to make DFS a profitable game rather than a gamble. This article will be posted each day, at least an hour and a half before lineup lock. If the days slate starts at 7pm EST then you can expect the rundown posted no later than 5:30pm. Today’s Slate
Nice 7 game slate with some positive matchups. Lots of blow out risk on this slate but let’s get to it.
Top Plays
Ante Zizic- Tons of value is opened up on the Cavaliers with Darius Garland, Tristan Thompson, and Andre Drummond being ruled out. This leaves the Cavs with only 8 players total. There’s nothing at all to like with the matchup being against the Utah Jazz, but if we are lucky that takes some ownership away from these plays. I always preach opportunity is key in DFS. Yes, matchups can sweeten the plays but a guy like Zizic who’s only $3,000 on DK only needs 15 points to hit his value. Zizic may even get the starting nod tonight, but if he doesn’t the Cavs still only have Kevin Love, Larry Nance and Ante Zizic available to fill the center and power forward spots for 48 minutes. I would also expect a blow out in this game and the only Cav Id hesitate to play is Kevin Love because they tend to not risk their trade piece in blowouts. This all fares well for Cavs like Kevin Porter, Dellevadova, and Zizic. Zizic being by far my favorite and then Porter. Fire him up as an elite value play tonight that a lot of people miss out on.
Trae Young- Guards against Memphis is one of my biggest topics on here every night. Well tonight you have one of the leagues best guards for fantasy production going against Ja Morant and the Grizzlies. His price on fanduel makes him a must play but I still like the ownership I’m going to see on DK so I’ve got him on all lineups.
Demar DeRozan- I will continue to ride DeRozan at this price every night. His usage with no Aldridge is over 30%. Vegas has this game staying close as the pacers are favorited -4. If that holds true, then you can expect a full dose of minutes tonight and that usage rate to stay up there. As of now Aldridge didn’t participate in shoot around which certainly points us to believe he’s not playing. He is however listed as questionable so keep an eye on it.
