The start of the 2021 Major League Baseball season is upon us. Today, Shane Bieber and the Cleveland Indians take on Matthew Boyd and the Detroit Tigers at 1:10pm EST at Comerica Park in Detroit. Both teams will look to gain an early advantage in the American League Central to start the season.

The Tigers, still strapped for cash due to the monster deal given to Miguel Cabrera about a decade ago, are STILL rebuilding. They hired a cheating Manager in A.J. Hinch and he looks to motivate his young team to make progress on their last place finish in the American League in 2020.

The Indians have their own ax to grind. After the offseason losses of Francisco Lindor, Carlos Santana and Carlos Carassco the Indians will look to replace the production and likability of those veterans. But they don’t seem to be in too much of a hurry.

Indians fans are enamored with the idea of Bobby Bradley and Daniel Johnson contributing to the Big League club going forward. But today is not about them as they are reporting to the Indians Alternate Camp in Columbus.

Today is about getting back to normal. Today is what we have looked forward to since the final out of the 2019 season. Today is about hope. Today is about returning to ballparks across America and celebrating Baseball.
