If you’ve listened to the Ultimate Warriors podcast then you know I love talking basketball but something else caught my interest today. I have been on social media and everyone is posting these awesome pictures of their dogs. Come to find out, it’s national dog day. I myself am a huge fan of dogs, I mean who isn’t? They are man’s best friend after all. Unfortunately, I don’t have a dog right now and can’t participate in on all the fun. What I can do is post a blog about one of the oddest animals I’ve ever seen that looks like a dog…….and a spider combined! You read that right, dog and spider combined. 

Like I said, I am a huge fan of dogs. What I am not a fan of are spiders. So it was quite shocking to find out about this animal. It’s called a Bunny Harvestman and it has the head of dog with 8 long yellow legs. (See picture above) Luckily for all of us, they are found only in Ecuador and are not venomous. They are actually pretty similar and from the same family as the daddy long leg that we see around Ohio. The craziest thing about this little critter (in my opinion) is they have been around for over 400 MILLION years! That’s before dinosaurs were even around people!

I may not have had a dog picture to share with everyone on national dog day but I think my picture will be the most memorable one you see today.
